Roy Watts Memorial Game 20th June - see match report

08 Jun 2015

Reminder of the season's highlight, Saturday 20th June vs old foe Roving Reporters, 1pm start. Chandos Avenue.

The game has now been re branded as the "Roy Watts Memorial Game". Roy sadly passed away last year. He was an RRs player, but had played over 10 games for Arkley. If RRs were not playing he would often come and watch Arkley and was an ever present at the annual fixture between the two teams. He was also a close friend of our own Clive Townsend.

We are encouraging all members to do all they can to make themselves available, and if not playing to come along and enjoy the day. We are trying to make it a special occasion with supporters from both teams, both a winners & a man of the match trophy presented after the game by the two presidents - Merv Lack and Roger Jones.

After match hostelries will be held, as usual in the Prince of Wales, East Barnet village. If you cant attend the day, could you come and enjoy a beer with us in the evening?

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me or another member of the Arkley committee.
