Last Saturday saw the 4th Annual Arkley Quiz Night, held at Oakleigh Park Lawn Tennis Club, which was great success and hugely enjoyed by the 53 attendees. The quiz, hosted by Jon Holland, ably assisted by wife Carole, was as usual highly testing and enjoyable. The quiz was won, subject to the results of the dope testing, by Nick Anson's table. The fish and chips supper, with ice cream to follow, was very popular, as was the raffle but the highlight of the evening, as far as the club was concerned, was the result of the two auctions, which netted in excess of £1,000. Thanks to all those who bid and we trust the winners, Nic Armitage of Arkley and a generous gentleman from the tennis club, will enjoy their successful purchases. Here's to the 5th Quiz Night next year.
