On another hot day, Skipper for the day Anay lost the toss adn was inserted. On a nice hard Chandos pitch, Arkley posted their record score - 272-5 from 40 overs.
A solid and quick opening partnetship between Ben & Nic Arm saw arkley to 103 off 20 overs before Nic was out reverse sweeping to short fine leg (a shot we have missed with Nic's self imposed exile). With wickets in hand we raced along with the help of extras (37).
All batsmen contributed - Ben 63, Nic 46, Khalid 10, James F 28, Morgs 14, Raks 42* and Anay 32*.

The score 272-5 surpasses the 264-5 vs Langley Wanderers in 1994. Reports suggest it was a small boundary on that day.

In the field Arkley bowled reasonably well, but with 30 wides (an extra 5 overs) meant for a late finish (7.52pm). Wickets for Kamal, James F, Ben & Aaron left Bamville with a respectable 210-7 from their 40 overs.
