With 10 games complete and another c.11 to go, its time to take stock and look at the season so far.
4 wins and 6 losses we have had no games end in a draw as yet. No games have been victim to the weather and there was only one week where we had 11 athletes available, but were unable to find an opponent.
Important to say we came close in some of those losses - Fleet St and Northwood were lost in the last over, both sides with 3 wkts left. Stanmore our chase fizzled out having looked favourites and Roving Reporters was lost by 14 runs - the win still possible in the last over.
Runs wise Paul Lewis leads the way with 565 runs and a top score of 135*. Second is Ben averaging 52, with Nick third averaging 44 and Jake 4th, 26.
In the wickets its Phil Knappett having a good year due to dry turning tracks, 26 wickets at 14. George is above him though, his 3 wkts only costing 7s. Is this why George has gone into hiding? Clive's had a resurgence with 5 wkts in 18 overs - 1 every 22 balls. Jake & Yash have 6 wickets each, with Jake's costing a fraction more, but a miserly economy of 3.11.
In the field its all to play for Nick has 4 catches (most as wkt), with Jega, Jake and Lewis 3 a piece.
Onto Monken Hadley this Sunday, lets hope for a good result!
