Match report The match was just reaching an interesting and decisive stage when the heavens opened up and, sadly, the match had to be abandoned. Roving Reporters batted first and, after some very tight early bowling, managed to post a challenging target. After an excellent tea Arkley set off in pursuit and, despite the loss of an early wicket, were looking very settled and in control of the run chase. Then the rain - there being no prospect of a re-commencement the match was abandoned just after 5.00 pm. A convivial evening was subsequently enjoyed at the Prince of Wales. Great to see so many friends at the game, and after in the pub, but a disapponting end to the match on an otherwise memorable day.
